Jockey Wheels 12T

Superstar Components UK Made derailleur wheels have been specially developed for the SRAM XX1 drive system. They are manufactured inhouse in our CNC facility in Lincoln-UK from high-strength Aerospace grade 7075 T651 aluminium alloy. The Narrow / Wide design of the wheels keeps your chain safely where it belongs, and also provides a crisp shifting behaviour. We know our customers ride in extreme conditions so we fit double sealed bearings which are replaceable in-case they wear. These are further hidden by a double labyrinth seal for extra durability.

In order to ensure the smoothest possible running over a longest period, we install standard size sealed deep groove ball bearings with the option of ceramic hybrid bearings for extra performance. We do not fit stainless steel

bearings as they are softer than bearing steel and will fail much sooner than a bearing steel will rust. (if there is visable rust the bearing is contaminated and will die no matter what the material is!)

These jockey wheels are suitable for newer SRAM and rear derailleurs, which are 11-speed compatible. Not suitable for SRAM derailleurs with integrated roller holders (2-point mount). A small number of models of road derailleurs from SRAM (such as some SRAM Red for example) have an upper roller with a 4mm screw mount rather than normal 5mm diameter. A reducer sleeve is available for minimal cost online from Hope, we are not manufacturing this part due to minimal demand.
